Running monitors on-demand
Dynamic Monitor Control is a new feature introduced in SDK v1.5 that enables precise control over monitor execution on individual devices. Users can start and stop monitors without restarting sessions.
Prior to v1.5, the SDK configuration was defined statically in the application code. When the application launched, the SDK would initialize all preconfigured monitors. The new version allows selective enabling and disabling of monitors during a session. Monitor states persist across sessions and remain active on the device until the application is reinstalled. This granular control allows you to enable specific monitors only on devices experiencing issues, reducing unnecessary traffic and operational costs on other devices.
To manage monitors, navigate to the 'Manage Active Monitors' section in the dashboard. This interface displays toggles for all available monitors and shows their current state for the selected session.
